Aloha Waimalu Families
The school 2019-2020 school year officially ended for students on Thursday, May 28. Our teachers will be sending report cards via email. If you are unable to receive email, we will be mailing report cards home no later than Friday, June 5. If you do not receive a report card by Friday, June 12, please call our office.
I am also happy to announce that our office has returned to normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 7:30 - 4:00. If we can help you with anything, please feel free to call us or stop by.
Please continue to look for messages by phone and email about next school year. From all of us at Waimalu Elementary School, thank you for a great year, and have a relaxing summer.
Aloha Waimalu Elementary Families,
I hope this message finds you well. It’s hard to believe that our last day of school for students is on Thursday, May 28. At this time, I cannot give you any definitive information about next school year, however, according to the official school calendar, the first day for students is Monday, August 3. There will be more information to come about what school will look like some time over the summer. We are also arranging a limited summer learning opportunity for students, however, it will be by invitation only, as we have been given limited funding for this program. We will notify invited families by email and phone in the next week.
If you still need to pick up your child’s school supplies, you may do so at our school office. From the week of May 26-29 the office will be open from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. daily. Starting the week of June 1, we will be resuming normal business hours from 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Please watch your local news for additional information about the happenings in the Department of Education. I will keep you up to date over the summer via phone and email. If you have any questions, please call us at 307-4500. Please take care, stay well, and stay Waimalu Strong!
Now until July 31, 2020 - click above to see the flyer.
Aloha Waimalu Families:
I hope everyone is staying safe and well while at home. Since we did not have an opportunity to distribute this to our students before we closed school, we are sending home an application for our Junior Police Officer (JPO) program to all 4th and 5th grade students.
If your child is interested in applying to be a JPO next school year, please complete the attached application and either email it to email@example.com or drop it off at our school office any day between 9 a.m and 1:00 pm. Please email Mr. Aylward if you have any questions.
